Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Sign Language Interpreter position is available in Espanola, NM, serving a dynamic educational environment with travel requirements. This role supports students who are deaf or hard of hearing by facilitating effective communication between students, teachers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation services in educational settings to support classroom instruction and school-related activities.
- Facilitate communication access for students during meetings, events, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure interpreters meet students communication needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards.
