Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a contract position where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting payroll operations, ensuring compliance, and resolving payroll tax issues. The role requires someone with strong attention to detail and experience in payroll systems and tax processes.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll transactions and ensure accurate and timely payments.
• Address and resolve payroll tax backlogs, including reviewing and correcting past notices.
• Organize and manage statements of deposits to ensure compliance.
• Utilize payroll software systems, such as ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian Dayforce, to streamline operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll data.
• Maintain detailed records of payroll activities and tax filings.
• Provide support in auditing payroll processes and identifying areas for improvement.
• Assist with benefits administration, including 401(k) and RRSP contributions.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal payroll regulations.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address payroll-related inquiries.• Proven experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with accounting functions and payroll auditing processes.
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce or other advanced payroll platforms is preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Proficiency in managing benefit functions, including 401(k) and RRSP administration.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work onsite in Atlanta, Georgia, with potential for remote work after the initial onboarding period.
