Job Title: Welding Technician

Job Responsibilities:
The Welding Technician is responsible for the welding operations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform TIG welding, soldering, torch brazing and assembly operations.
- Knowledge of metals and weld / braze compatibilities.
- Common materials to weld: Aluminums, Copper, Stainless Steels, Steels, Kovar.
- Common thicknesses to weld: 18GA, 1/16”, 1/8”, 1/4”.
- Common material to solder / braze: Copper, Brass.
- Perform necessary inspection, grinding, blasting, cleaning, leak detection and testing.
- Assist with welding, brazing and soldering quotes.
- Able to read and interpret schematics, blueprints and any other technical documentation.
- Assist with creation of work instructions when required.
- Enter and record quality data into appropriate systems.
- Able to fill paperwork such as travelers or any other forms required.
- Participate in lean and continuous improvement activity.
- Participate in Inventory management system and material disposition efforts.
- Cross train and flex in different departments are needed.

Working Environment: Manufacturing, controlled environment setting
Qualification Requirements:
- 5+ years of TIG welding experience
- Pressure Vessel Welding certification preferred
- Laser Welding experience preferred
- 5+ years of cleaning, testing and assembly operations in controlled environment setting
- 5+ years working in highly regulated environment preferred
- 5+ years working in medical device industry preferred

Pay Range: $27-$30 per hour
