HR Generalist

GSH is currently seeking a full-time HR Generalist working out of our Parsippany, NJ office. The HR Generalist, will support the company's HR functions, including payroll processing, recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely payroll while maintaining a positive employee experience.

Essential Duties

  • Accurately and timely processing of bi-weekly and weekly payrolls, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
  • Process and reconcile time and attendance data, ensuring accurate pay calculations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Assist with recruitment, including job postings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, such as benefits, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and resolving conflicts.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR laws and regulations, ensuring compliance.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support the administration of employee performance management programs.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Assist with HR reporting and data analysis.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in ADP payroll processing software and systems.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Payroll Processing Experience using ADP systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now.
  • Certification in HR or payroll is a plus.
