Location: Medical Park (Grant & Rosemont), Tucson, AZ (On-site, Internal Medicine Membership Practice)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a Medical Scribe and Provider Liaison to support both clinical documentation and administrative coordination for our providers. This position involves close, daily collaboration with the provider team and requires a proactive, adaptable professional who excels in critical thinking, communication, and technology-based problem solving.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Document patient encounters in real time, including medical history, physical exams, assessments, treatment plans, and physician instructions.
  • Assist with electronic health record (EHR) management, ensuring data accuracy, organization, and compliance.
  • Coordinate provider communications, follow-ups, and daily task prioritization through email, phone, and digital tools.
  • Anticipate needs and streamline daily operations, helping to optimize provider schedules and workflow.
  • Perform administrative support tasks such as drafting correspondence, handling phone and portal messages, preparing forms, and tracking follow-up items.
  • Research and troubleshoot technology or process challenges, offering efficient, solutions-focused resolutions.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and practice standards.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-based environment through professionalism, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support providers and clinic operations.
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 5:30PM with flexibility to accommodate clinic needs.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate's or bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Experience as a medical scribe, executive assistant, or administrative coordinator in a healthcare or professional office setting (preferred).
  • Proficiency with EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks (eCW) and comfort with multiple digital platforms (Microsoft 365, Teams, PDFs, scheduling tools).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including tact and clarity in professional correspondence.
  • Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and an ability to think critically in real time.
  • Proven ability to identify challenges and propose practical, technology-driven solutions.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and clinical workflows (preferred).
