Job Title: Junior Logistics Coordinator
Location: City of Commerce, CA
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
The Junior Logistics Coordinator will assist in coordinating shipments, tracking inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow within logistics and supply chain operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling pickups and deliveries
- Track shipments and provide status updates to internal teams and customers
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and logistics documentation
- Communicate with vendors, carriers, and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations
- Support inventory control processes, including cycle counts and stock verification
- Help resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, or damages in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Perform general administrative and clerical support related to logistics operations
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in logistics, warehouse, or administrative support preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inventory systems or ERP software is a plus
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
- Familiarity with freight carriers, LTL/FTL shipments, and tracking systems
