Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position is for a Special Education Teacher providing support to elementary-aged students within a school setting in West Valley City, UT. The role is a contract assignment starting ASAP with an end date of June 4, 2026. It involves working 35 hours per week over five days, delivering specialized educational services tailored to meet the needs of students requiring special education.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for elementary students
- Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to accommodate student needs
- Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting instructional techniques accordingly
- Maintaining compliance with state education standards and special education regulations
Qualifications:
- Current Utah Special Education teacher licensure is required
- Experience working with elementary age groups in a special education capacity
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
