Job Description

Certification Details
• Illinois state RN License in good standing.
• BLS (American Heart Association).
• ACLS (American Heart Association).
• PALS (American Heart Association).

Job Details
• Staff Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care in the Emergency Department (ED) utilizing nursing process and institutional philosophy.
• Performs patient assessments, develops and modifies care plans, implements nursing interventions, and maintains accurate documentation.
• Ensures patient and staff safety, communicates effectively with healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Provides feedback for professional development and maintains departmental competencies.

Job Requirements
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
• Preferred trauma level 2 experience.
• EPIC experience required.
• Required Education: ASN.
• Preferred Education: BSN.

Schedule Information
• Night shift.
• 12 hours per day.
• 36 hours per week.
• 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours with expectation to be onsite within an hour.
• 2-week nights rotation required for all travelers.
• No block scheduling.

Unit Specific Information
• Emergency Department (ED) nursing specialty.
• Unit prefers trauma level 2 experience.
• Unit requires EPIC experience.
• Call shifts require onsite presence within an hour.

Additional Details
• TNCC certification preferred.
