Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Mc Calla, AL, supporting students across a wide range of grade levels from pre-school through 12th grade. This contract role begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the current school year. Candidates interested in either full-time or part-time assignments are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy services to students grades K-12 with diverse communication needs
- Collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assessing students speech and language abilities and providing appropriate interventions
- Maintaining detailed records and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Participating in team meetings and professional development activities
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings, including elementary, middle, and high school students
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple grade levels, from pre-school through high school
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff
- Commitment to supporting student achievement and well-being through evidence-based therapy techniques
