Job Description
The driver operates the vacuum truck to collect and transport various materials, including waste, sludge, or debris.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate vacuum trucks, including connecting hoses, pipes, and other equipment to collect materials.
- Preparing the job site for operation, ensuring proper cleanup after completion.
- Properly disposing of collected waste in accordance with regulations and company policies.
- Handling vacuum lines and unloading equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate records of collections and disposals.
- Maintains radio or telephone contact with base or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new location.
- Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.
- Cleans, inspects, and services vehicle.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High School graduate which may be substituted with specific work-related experience.
Certificates and/or Licenses
- DOT medical card
- Valid CDL License – Class A or B accepted
- Endorsements: Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
- Clean driving record
