Description
The Transportation Driver will have an integral role in the day-to-day operations of transportation services for Milestones Services, LLC including but not limited to safe client transport, overall client safety, client transportation coordination and vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities/Activities
Transportation Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day client issues related to transportation including but not limited to transporting clients, developing route schedule, scheduling transportation through federated and other transportation providers, ensuring client safety, and vehicle maintenance.
- Provide safe transportation services to clients
- Ensures overall client health, safety and welfare of client (including but not limited ensuring safety, understanding client individual needs)
- Ensures appropriate documentation of transportation services provides
- Ensures accurate and appropriate billing of transportation services
- Communicates with clients, client team members, transportation broker and other key internal and external stakeholders
- Obeys all Ensures transportation compliance including but not limited to securing demographic information and other policy or regulation required documentation
- Participate in the development and improvement of new and existing transportation programs
- Participate in transportation safety training for clients
- Participate in transportation safety training and continuing education for employees
- Ensures that all forms, incident reports, incident investigations and all services are complete, accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
- Communicates with and provides information to clients, supervisor(s), guardians and other key stakeholders when needed.
- Ensures all vehicles are routinely maintained to ensure safety
- Ensures all vehicles are certified according to state and federal laws and regulations.
- Ensures vehicle accountability by checking vehicles in and out and that drivers and passengers are following safety requirements
- Ensures transportation certification and regulatory compliance
- Comply with all federal and state regulations regarding driving and vehicle maintenance.
- Monitor transportation schedules and plan and follow routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures for passengers
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle inspections, and report any accidents or incidents that occur while driving.
- Make quick decisions in emergency situations, including inclement weather, traffic delays, or mechanical failures.
- Adhere to safety regulations at all times, including wearing required safety equipment, following traffic signals and speed limits, and avoiding distractions while driving.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle
- Meet individual client needs
- Ability to engage in client de-escalation techniques and mediation based on client individual needs
- Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently, while still following company policies and procedures.
- Maintains forms, documents, training materials, etc.
- Maintains files and documents in an organized format.
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record with no moving violations in the last five years
- Has a social security number or valid work permit.
- Proper Vehicle Insurance Coverage.
Training/Experience:
- Has a minimum of one-year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Monday through Friday
6-10am and/or 3-6pm
