Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a high school caseload in Plainfield, IL. The role involves working three days per week with approximately 25 students who present with mild to moderate speech and language needs. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience or interest in educational settings and pediatric speech therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy to high school students with mild to moderate speech and language disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and school district guidelines.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Illinois license as an SLP or SLPA required.
  • For SLPs, a Professional Educators License (PEL) from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) is necessary.
  • Experience in pediatric or school-based speech therapy preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively within a school environment and with adolescents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Location: Plainfield, Illinois High School Setting
Position Type: Contract for the 2023-2024 school year (NSY)
Schedule: 3 days per week
