Role Description This part-time, on-site Motorcoach Driver role is based in Roanoke, VA. The Motorcoach Driver is responsible for safely operating motorcoach vehicles for charters, tours, and other passenger trips, following all traffic laws and company safety policies. Daily responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, managing passenger boarding and luggage handling, and maintaining a clean, comfortable coach environment. The driver provides courteous customer service, communicates itinerary details, and responds to passenger inquiries and needs throughout trips. The role also involves keeping accurate trip logs, reporting any mechanical issues, and coordinating with dispatch and operations staff to ensure on-time departures and arrivals.

Qualifications

- Clean and valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate passenger endorsements; strong driving record and commitment to safe vehicle operation.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, transportation regulations, and basic vehicle inspection procedures; ability to identify and report maintenance concerns.
- Customer service skills, including clear communication, professional demeanor, and the ability to assist passengers courteously and respectfully.
- Time management and route navigation skills, including following schedules, adapting to traffic conditions, and using maps or navigation tools.
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods, handle luggage, and perform coach cleaning tasks as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by charter schedules.
- Prior experience driving motorcoaches, buses, or other commercial passenger vehicles is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; completion of professional driver training programs is an asset.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must pass a DOT drug/alcohol screening and have a clean background (no felonies).
