Who You Are:

We are seeking a dedicated Optician/Optometric Technician for a Full-Time role in our optometry clinic. As a member of the Optometry team, you will assist and support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. This role includes both front and back office responsibilities and plays a vital part in ensuring smooth clinic operations.

In this role, you will:

• Escort patients and record vital signs

• Clean and prepare exam rooms

• Maintain equipment and infection control standards

• Assist patients in selecting frames and preparing optical lab orders

• Perform administrative tasks including inventory, insurance processing, and recordkeeping

• Support reception duties such as patient registration and appointment scheduling

• Participate in quality assurance activities and emergency supply checks

• Train new staff and comply with all MACT policies

What You Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Optical Laboratory Technician Certificate preferred

• Current CPR certification preferred

• Experience in a medical setting preferred

• Must pass Occupational Health Screening

Additional Skills & Knowledge

• Understanding of universal precautions and sterile processes

• Familiarity with optometric tools and equipment

• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality

• Ability to assist patients with forms and clerical tasks

• Appreciation for American Indian traditions and customs
