Job Description

Part-Time Food Service Aide in a skilled nursing facility. Weekend availability required. Must have a flexible schedule to work 6:00 AM–2:00 PM and 12:00 PM–8:00 PM shifts. 1199 Union. Full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Pay Rate: $24.65 per hour

Fulton Commons Care Center is hiring Food Service Aides to help provide meals and food service to our residents. This position works as part of the dietary team and includes meal preparation, tray service, kitchen cleanup, stocking, and food delivery throughout the facility.

Position Responsibilities

Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and silverware and maintain an organized dish room.
Assist with basic food preparation, including making sandwiches and preparing items for meal service.
Set up the tray line with meals, beverages, condiments, and other required items.
Prepare coffee and soup and assist with beverage service.
Deliver food carts to resident care units and organize meal tickets.
Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, storage, and food service areas.
Sweep and mop floors and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Replenish food service supplies and assist with proper storage of items.
Handle leftovers and dispose of garbage according to facility procedures.
Perform additional food service and kitchen duties as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous food service, kitchen, cafeteria, or healthcare dining experience is helpful but not required.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks associated with food service.
Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Reliable transportation.
Weekend availability is required.
