Electrical Estimator

Location: Staten Island, NY
Pay: $90,000 – $120,000
Schedule: Full-Time | In-Office

Build the Numbers That Win the Job

We are hiring an experienced Electrical Estimator for a rapidly growing union electrical contractor in Staten Island. This is not a plug-and-play role — this is for someone who knows how to break down drawings, build accurate bids, and help win real work.

You’ll be working directly with ownership, helping decide what gets bid, how it gets priced, and ultimately what projects hit the board. If you’ve been estimating and want more influence, more respect, and a seat at the table — this is it.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Analyze drawings, specs, and bid documents to build complete electrical estimates
  • Perform labor, material, and production cost analysis
  • Build detailed, competitive proposals for commercial electrical projects
  • Source and level quotes from vendors and subcontractors
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with supply houses
  • Work directly with ownership on bid strategy and project selection
  • Support project kickoff meetings with insight into scope, cost, and execution
  • Manage multiple bids at once without missing details or deadlines

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator (this is not entry level)
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and labor costing
  • Experience with EBM Vision, Accubid, or similar estimating software
  • Ability to read and interpret full electrical plan sets independently
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple bids
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Someone who takes ownership of their work and wants to win bids
