Carpenter - Demolition & Reconstruction
Express Employment Professionals is now hiring Carpenters to assist with demolition and reconstruction projects for a local construction company in Duluth, MN. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals with prior carpentry or construction experience who enjoy working on active job sites and contributing to quality rebuilds.
This position involves working alongside skilled carpenters on remodels and rebuilds, assisting with tear-outs, framing support, material handling, and job-site cleanup to keep projects moving efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with demolition, debris removal, and site cleanup on restoration and construction projects
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and building materials to and from job sites
- Support lead carpenters with framing, drywall, flooring, and general construction tasks
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials as directed
- Set up and break down work areas, ensuring job sites remain organized and safe
- Operate basic hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow all safety guidelines, OSHA standards, and company procedures at all times
- Take direction from supervisors and work collaboratively with crew members
- Perform other general labor and carpentry duties as needed to support project completion
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in carpentry, construction, remodeling, or restoration work required
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure, follow blueprints, and understand job specifications
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to job sites within a 90-mile radius
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials, working on your feet, and performing demanding tasks in varying conditions
- Strong work ethic with a dependable attendance record
- Safety-minded with the ability to follow job-site rules and procedures
- Able to work independently when needed and as part of a team environment
