AVEVA E3D Piping Designer (Contract)

Location: Evansville, IN (Onsite)
Job Type: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50 – $60 per hour

Overview:

We are actively seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AVEVA E3D Piping Designer for a contract assignment near Evansville, IN. In this role, you'll support industrial design projects with a focus on piping system layout and 3D modeling using AVEVA E3D. Experience working with laser-scanned drawings is essential, and familiarity with heavy industrial or chemical plant environments is highly preferred.

This opportunity offers a 4/9s schedule (Monday–Thursday), allowing for a flexible long-weekend format. While local candidates are preferred, all qualified applicants will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop piping layouts using AVEVA E3D

• Integrate and interpret laser-scanned drawings into piping models

• Generate isometric drawings, general arrangements, and detailed schematics

• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure technical accuracy and safety compliance

• Conduct design reviews and clash detection for constructability and code compliance

• Participate in team meetings and assist in resolving design challenges

• Provide ongoing revisions and updates throughout the design process

Requirements:

• Proficiency in AVEVA E3D is required

• Experience working with laser scan data

• Background in heavy industrial or chemical plant projects is a plus

• Strong knowledge of piping design standards and drafting practices

• Attention to detail and ability to manage tasks independently

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Familiarity with tools such as NavisWorks, MicroStation, or Bluebeam is beneficial

Schedule:

• 10-hour shifts

• 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday)
