We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our expanding team. In this role, you will prepare tax returns, conduct tax research, and work closely with clients and team members to deliver exceptional tax services. Key Responsibilities:
Tax Preparation & Research

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and non-profits.

Ensure the accurate and timely filing of tax returns in compliance with IRS regulations and deadlines.

Conduct tax research to support tax positions and planning strategies.

Stay up-to-date with new laws and regulations, and communicate their impact to clients and the team.
Client Interactions

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing tax-related inquiries and providing expert guidance on tax issues.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering exceptional service and value.
Documentation & Reporting

Keep organized and detailed documentation of all tax work and client communications.

Ensure all tax files are complete and comply with firm policies.
Team Collaboration

Work closely with team members and other departments within the firm.

Assist senior associates and managers with complex tax projects and planning.
Professional Development

Participate in training courses to continually improve knowledge and skills.

Stay current with tax laws and industry trends, maintaining the minimum required CPE hours.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, business, or a related field. A master's degree in public accounting is a plus.

CPA certification or progress toward obtaining a CPA is highly preferred.

1 to 3 years of experience in public accounting or a related field, particularly in tax services.

Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Familiarity with accounting software is required; experience with UltraTax is preferred.

Solid knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

Adaptability and a commitment to flexibility in a dynamic professional environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and impactful feedback to clients and team members.
