- Location: Newton Lower Falls, MA (02462) — Boston-area, Massachusetts travel nursing\n
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 3, 2026 – August 1, 2026)\n
- Hours per Week: 36\n
- Shift: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts (7:00am–7:30pm or 7:15pm–7:15am), every other weekend and rotating holidays\n
- Employment Type: Travel RN, On-site\n
- Unit: 5 South - Labor & Delivery (L&D, maternity, postpartum)\n
\n\nJob Requirements — Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications\n

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (MA)\n
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery (L&D) clinical experience; postpartum and newborn care experience preferred\n
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required\n
- Completion of required onboarding and orientation modules prior to start\n
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed\n
- Submission of resume, professional references, and completed skills checklist for Labor & Delivery\n
\n\nResponsibilities — Labor & Delivery Nurse Duties\n
- \n
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, support during delivery, and postpartum/newborn care\n
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize changes, and respond to emergent situations\n
- Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, neonatology, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure safe outcomes\n
- Administer medications, assist with deliveries and procedures, and support pain management interventions\n
- Perform newborn assessments, initial stabilization, and routine postpartum newborn care\n
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn health\n
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation and adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and quality standards\n
