Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a significant impact as a Special Education Teacher working with students in grades K-6 for the upcoming school year. Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Mexico teaching license with Special Education endorsement required
- Proven experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) populations preferred
- Comfortable supporting students in kindergarten through 6th grade
- Strong communication abilities with both students and colleagues
- Ability to implement IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized instruction to K-6 students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students with ASD
- Collaborate closely with parents, general education teachers, and support staff to maximize student achievement
- Support classroom structure and provide behavioral interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with all state and federal guidelines
