Job Type: Contract (Travel/Local)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:
- Shift: Day Shift (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Schedule: 4x10s
- No Weekends | No On-Call
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a fast-paced catheterization laboratory. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile trays and organize procedure-specific equipment
- Prepare patients for procedures, including EKG lead placement, scrubbing, and draping
- Set up and assist with patient monitoring and hemodynamic monitoring systems
- Calibrate and test transducers to ensure accurate readings
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Operate power injectors and digital imaging systems
- Manage image storage and ensure proper documentation and system uploads
- Assist in emergency situations to maintain patient stability
- Support sheath removal and vascular closure procedures
- Monitor inventory and ensure proper functioning of equipment
- Communicate effectively with patients and interdisciplinary care teams
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or invasive procedure setting
- CCL scrub experience required
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and hemodynamic monitoring
Preferred Skills
- Experience with peripheral and/or neuro procedures
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods during procedures
