Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to join our facilities team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of all types of flooring. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering high-quality results that help create a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily, weekly, and periodic floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, and burnishing

Operate and maintain a variety of floor care equipment including auto scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, and vacuums

Ensure all floor surfaces, including carpet, tile, hardwood, and concrete, are cleaned and maintained according to safety and sanitation standards

Follow proper cleaning procedures and use chemicals safely and correctly

Report any maintenance issues or floor damage to the appropriate department

Maintain a clean and organized work area, including storage of supplies and equipment

Assist with other cleaning or facility-related tasks as needed

Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and health guidelines at all times
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Prior experience in commercial floor care or janitorial services is strongly preferred

Knowledge of floor care equipment and proper use of cleaning chemicals

Knowledge/experience of strip and wax, carpet extraction, floor buffing, scrub and recoat preferred

Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage time efficiently

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness

Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs

Flexible hours required
Work Environment:

This position may require evening, weekend, and overnight shifts depending on business needs

May involve working in a variety of environments such as offices, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and production or healthcare settings
Flexible schedule (weekends may be required) serviced Monday - Friday 8 hours per day from 8:30am - 5:00pm including a 30 minute lunch with a total of 40 hours per week
