Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity calls for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in grades 6-12 within a K-12 school environment in San Antonio, TX. The role involves delivering both push-in and pull-out services to approximately 20 students, with a schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, for the duration of the school year contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group instruction to special education students.
- Conduct push-in services within the general education classroom and pull-out sessions as needed.
- Actively participate in and contribute to Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to develop and implement effective educational plans.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Department of Education EC-12 Special Education teaching license is required.
- Experience with Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings is essential.
- Ability to municate effectively and advocate for students educational needs.
