Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing physical therapy services in an educational setting requires a skilled and compassionate professional ready to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role offers an opportunity to deliver specialized physical therapy interventions to a caseload of 18 students within a vibrant school district environment. The position is part-time, itinerant, and based onsite across multiple nearby school locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized physical therapy services to students K-12 across several school sites, including high school, middle school, and elementary schools.
- Develop and implement therapy plans that support student mobility, functional independence, and educational success.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies into the school day.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Manage travel between multiple campuses within close proximity.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current or eligible for Washington state physical therapy license and certification.
- Experience providing physical therapy services in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an educational team environment.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours averaging 24.5 to 26 per week, with the possibility of increasing up to 30 hours.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is based in Tacoma, WA, serving multiple schools within a few miles.
- Part-time contract position with an anticipated duration through June 16, 2026.
- Onsite presence required during scheduled hours.
