Registered Dental Hygienist – San Ramon, CA
An exciting new opportunity has arisen to become an important member of a growing, family-oriented dental practice in San Ramon, CA. We are seeking a long-term Registered Dental Hygienist who thrives in a warm, supportive office environment and values teamwork, communication, and high-quality patient care. Our practice is located in the heart of San Ramon’s growing community and is known for friendly staff and comprehensive treatment planning.
Schedule
Part-time
- Monday and Thursday
- Opportunity to become full-time as hygiene demand grows
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality hygiene care, including routine cleanings, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance
- Assess periodontal health, chart findings, and identify early signs of gum disease
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options
- Identify potential Invisalign candidates during hygiene visits and educate patients on Invisalign benefits and treatment flow
- Schedule Invisalign consultations with the doctor and support case acceptance in collaboration with the front desk and clinical team
- Take dental X-rays and assist with soft tissue procedures
- Review patient history and support the dentist with treatment planning insights
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical and scheduling documentation
- Communicate clearly with the doctor and dental team regarding patient care
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support the team during downtime with recalls, sterilization, and assisting as needed
- Utilize intraoral scanning and periodontal adjuncts (laser experience a plus)
Requirements
- Active California Registered Dental Hygienist license
- Certified in placing fluoride and dental sealants and taking X-rays
- 3–5 years of experience preferred
- Excellent chairside manner with a warm, friendly personality
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Team-player mentality with a positive attitude
- Experience with intraoral scanning; laser and periodontal adjunct experience is a plus
Pay & Compensation
- $60–$65 per hour
- Discretionary performance-based bonus
