A regional medical center in North Carolina is seeking an experienced pharmacist for a rewarding night shift role. This position offers a great opportunity to apply your inpatient pharmacy expertise in a fast-paced hospital setting. The facility is a 300-bed hospital located in a convenient area between Charlotte and Wilmington, making it accessible while serving a vital community.
Location: Raeford, NC (near Lumberton, approximately 2 hours east of Charlotte)
Schedule:
- Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 7 days on, 7 days off (Thursday to Wednesday cycle)
Contract Details:
- Immediate start available
- 13-week contract length with potential to extend or convert to temp-to-hire
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care
- Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
- Operate hospital IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active pharmacist license in North Carolina
- Strong inpatient pharmacy experience, ideally comfortable being the sole pharmacist on shift
- Proficient knowledge of hospital procedures and medication management
- Ability to work independently and make critical clinical decisions
