As a Senior Electromechanical Systems Engineer (Sr Adv Application Engineer internally), you will play a critical, hands-on role owning electro-mechanical systems from concept through production, directly impacting performance, safety, and reliability.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role where you will collaborate across engineering, suppliers, and leadership to bring complex hardware systems to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Own program execution including cost, schedule, milestones, and risk management
- Apply Earned Value Management System EVMS to track progress and performance
- Drive technical problem solving and root cause analysis RCA
- Develop and execute validation and verification (V&V) and qualification testing
- Analyze test data results and ensure systems meet performance requirements
- Translate customer and regulatory requirements into engineering solutions
- Interface directly with suppliers and customers on technical matters
- Create technical documentation including test plans, reports, and procedures
- Support proposals, resource planning, and schedule estimation
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- 5 or more years of experience in electro-mechanical systems or hardware engineering
WE VALUE
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated industries preferred
- Experience with actuation systems including motors, servo systems, or motion control
- Background in hardware manufacturing and production support
- Strong knowledge of validation and verification (V&V) and qualification testing
- Experience with root cause analysis RCA, 8D, or FMEA
- Familiarity with GD and T geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams
- Exposure to project or program management including cost, schedule, and risk
- Strong problem solver with a hands-on engineering mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution
- Effective communicator able to explain complex technical concepts
- Self-starter who takes ownership and initiative
- Collaborative and team-oriented
