The role of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) within our organization provides an opportunity for flexible per diem and PRN shifts across various hospital departments. Candidates should possess bedside nursing experience along with the necessary certifications. Responsibilities include delivering patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), ensuring patient confidentiality, and coordinating care across different hospital units. This nursing opportunity offers variable shift incentives, no fixed schedule, and the chance to work at multiple facilities in Missouri.

Utilizing the nursing process, you will deliver patient care under the guidance of licensed professionals authorized to prescribe medications and treatments, or under the direction of an RN. You will maintain accountability for the care provided to your assigned patients and collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

Position Summary:
Are you looking for a flexible LPN role with incentives? You can choose between day or night shifts based on your preference! There are no mandatory weekend, holiday, or shift commitments. Participation in the Gig Nursing Program requires you to manage a minimum number of hours, be available on short notice, and remain flexible, as shifts may be canceled at the last minute. Note that the Gig Nursing Program does not guarantee shift hours and will be the first to experience cancellations.
The LPN in this role will float between selected facilities within our network.

Qualifications:
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent GED.
Licensure:
Completion of an accredited practical nursing program; equivalent educational experience and successful licensure will also be considered. You must obtain and maintain a current LPN license in the state where you will be practicing and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
Experience:
A minimum of one year of recent bedside LPN experience is required for Medical-Surgical roles. For other specialties (such as ED, ICU), at least two years of recent bedside LPN experience is necessary.
Certifications:
For Medical-Surgical: BLS certification required.
For Critical Care: BLS and ACLS certifications required.
For Emergency Department: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
IV certification is mandatory.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with Epic software is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
This position necessitates the ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds regularly. It also requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift, as well as the capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to fulfill job responsibilities.
