A registered nurse with emergency room experience is needed for a contract opportunity in Volcano, HI. This role involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced emergency department within a 28-bed unit, including trauma, behavioral health, and cardiac monitored rooms. The position requires Hawaii licensure by the start date and adherence to a specific onboarding schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a busy emergency room environment, including trauma and behavioral health cases
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure fast and effective patient turnover
- Monitor cardiac patients in a monitored setting, responding swiftly to changes in condition
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
- Participate in orientation and attend required employee health appointments prior to starting
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in Hawaii by the first day of the assignment
- Proven experience in an emergency room setting, comfortable managing trauma and cardiac patients
- Ability to work night shifts, including three 12-hour shifts per week after orientation
- Strong teamwork and communication skills essential for fast-paced care delivery
Schedule:
- Night shifts: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours weekly) following orientation
- First week includes orientation and required health appointments
This is a 15-week contract role. Candidates must be available to arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete mandatory employee health appointments on Friday. If this timeline cannot be met, please do not accept the assignment.
