RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

\n

• Work in 2C Observation Unit, a 22-bed medical observation unit
\n• Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 with charge nurse in staffing
\n• Handle miscellaneous medical observation patients with high turnover and fast-paced environment
\n• Manage up to 16 discharges per day and frequent admissions/refills
\n• Work with heavy telemetry monitoring managed by central monitoring system
\n• RNs perform own EKGs and draw own labs
\n• Float to medical surgical units as needed
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
\n• No call or standby requirements
\n• 3-shift unit-specific orientation provided
\n• Work with heparin drips as primary titratable medication
\n• CNA support with 2 CNAs available when staffing allows
\n• No ventilator equipment - respiratory therapy equipment does not include vents
\n• Required certifications: BLS Certification, NIHSS
\n• ACLS not required but highly recommended
\n• Dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs (top and bottom) OR White top with Caribbean Blue bottom OR all white scrubs
\n• MEDITECH charting system
\n• BSN not required
\n• Strict 75-mile radius requirement for candidates
\n• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks
