Position Overview
A hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a 14-week contract assignment. The Pharmacy Technician will support daily pharmacy operations, assist with medication preparation and dispensing, and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and distribution.

Accurately fill medication orders in accordance with hospital protocols.

Support sterile compounding and IV room operations when assigned.

Maintain proper storage, labeling, and inventory of medications.

Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and pharmacy regulations.

Rotate shifts and work areas as required by departmental needs.

Document activities accurately within pharmacy systems.

Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Required Qualifications

Active Registered Pharmacy Technician License (NYSED)

Minimum 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience

Pharmacy dispensing experience preferred

Sterile Processing and/or IV Room experience is a plus

Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to different assignments

Strong attention to detail and ability to function in a fast-paced hospital setting
