Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist or Social Worker position is available at a supportive K8 public school located in the northern suburbs of Denver, Colorado. This role focuses on delivering services to a caseload of approximately 20 mild to moderate students, including some Pre-K students. Candidates must be prepared to serve as case managers, providing counseling, assessments, evaluations, and collaborating with IEP teams to meet individual student needs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee students' Individualized Education Programs (IEP), including monthly IEP minutes.
- Provide direct counseling services to students.
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement effective interventions.
- Serve as the primary case manager for assigned students, ensuring compliance with district requirements.
Qualifications:
- Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Credentials or actively in the process of obtaining them.
- Experience in working with mild to moderate special education students, preferably Pre-K to 8th grade.
- Understanding of case management responsibilities within a school setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Open to new graduates and experienced professionals alike.
Interview Process:
- Initial screening interview via Teams with the director of integrated services (15-30 minutes).
- Second-round panel interview, ideally in person though virtual options are available (30-45 minutes).
Additional Details:
- Located in the Aurora/Thornton area of Colorado.
- District serves approximately 7,000 students across 16 sites in a close-knit community.
- Hybrid or VOCO certifications are not accepted.
- Candidates currently relocating or in the process of credentialing are welcome.
