Responsibilities and Duties:
- Update information on the guide board, provided by the airlines and online tracking
- Send “pre-alerts” or any revisions to clients on time to ensure customer satisfaction
- Inform clients when cargo has arrived and close files
- Constantly check the mail. Provide timely response to customers. File in the respective folder of each client.
- Update all forms of communication (i.e., truck reports, tracking reports, missing and hold reports) in timely manner with the respective POD’s
- Follow POD’s Instructions and ensure operational best practice in line with customer requirements as well as ensure operational POD compliance.
- Review POD’s delivered to proceed with the pallet return formats of the truckers that return pallets, as well for those who do not return the pallets.
- Maintain essential account documentation with up to date information for billing (i.e., cross docks, transfers, truck loading, handling flowers/ fruits and storage)
- Manage and maintain positive relationships with Freighter Company, airlines, and agents.
- Increase customer satisfaction and business share through regular contact (i.e., in person, phone, email).
- Receive and process inventory orders from specific clients.
- Include in the delivery control of the day the orders printed in the previous point
- Prepare documentation for outgoing cargo / revise docs if needed.
- Report to clients about lost boxes and on hold. Send the hold documentation to the fumigator and follow up on their decisions.
Qualifications and skills:
- High school diploma/GED required
- 1+ Years of experience in logistics (Import, Export, Domestics)
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Microsoft office knowledge (Outlook, word, excel)
- Good management and organizational skills.
- Fast learner & Good listener.
- Bilingual in Spanish & English.
