We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Day Services Supervisor. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations and activities of our day program, ensuring that our participants receive the highest level of care and support. Available Position:
- Location: Urbandale, IA
- Full-time; 40 hours per week
- Monday-Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, weekends as needed
- Wage: $40,560 - $42,120 annually - Based on experience
- Bonus: $1,000 (paid in one installment upon completion of 6-months continued employment)
As a Day Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of program coordinators and direct support professionals, as well as collaborating with other departments to ensure the overall success of the program. You will ensure that all program activities are implemented effectively, according to individualized participant plans, and in compliance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, you will support the ongoing development and growth of our participants by facilitating engagement in meaningful activities, promoting independence, and fostering a sense of community and belonging.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Day Services Supervisors address the wants and needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, which include:
- Supervise and provide guidance to program coordinators and direct support professionals
- Develop and implement individualized participant plans, taking into consideration their goals, preferences, and abilities
- Ensure the program activities are engaging, diverse, and provide opportunities for skill-building and personal growth
· Collaborate with other team members to design and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor participant progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and supports
- Maintain accurate documentation and records, including participant files, incident reports, and statistical data
- Administer medications and maintain accurate medication records
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards, such as Medicaid Waiver programs
- Ensure all needs are addressed in a respectful manner with dignity and personal choice
- Complete and maintain required documentation and trainings

Requirements:
- Two (2) years’ experience in a related area, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities or an undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s) with a major or minor of study from an accredited college or university
- One (1) year in supervisory or management capacity.
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Completion of High School Diploma or GED
- Possess a valid driver's license and current auto insurance
- Pass all background checks: criminal, DMV, dependent adult and child abuse registry
- On the job training: in-person and on-line
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
