Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) / Licensed Clinical Professional (LCP) – Correctional Facility Travel Position
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Dauphin County Prison)
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 8 weeks
Shift: 4×10 Days; 5×8 Days (Flexible Schedule; Weekend Coverage May Be Required)
Pay: $2,044/week (plus $1,450 completion bonus per contract, up to $4,350 after three contracts)
Position Summary
ATC Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional (LCP) for an 8-week travel assignment at Dauphin County Prison in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The clinician will provide professional behavioral health and counseling services to incarcerated individuals, focusing on assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation planning. This role involves managing a moderate caseload, addressing crisis situations, and collaborating with medical and correctional staff to support inmate mental health and well-being in a secure correctional setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual psychosocial assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions for inmates experiencing mental health disorders, substance use issues, or emotional distress.
- Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust treatment strategies as needed.
- Coordinate with correctional officers, nursing, and medical staff to ensure continuity of care and crisis response.
- Prepare clinical documentation, progress notes, and reports in compliance with facility and state standards.
- Manage an average caseload of 10–15 patients per day, maintaining accurate, timely records.
- Facilitate discharge planning and referrals to community mental health services when applicable.
- Participate in staff meetings, multidisciplinary case reviews, and emergency response situations.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards governing clinical practice within a correctional facility.
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania license as a LCSW or LCP (required).
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience (preferred experience in correctional or forensic settings).
- Strong ability to conduct mental health assessments, provide therapeutic interventions, and manage crisis situations.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary and security-sensitive environment.
- Must meet background screening and credentialing requirements per facility standards.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed).
- Recent tuberculosis (TB) test required.
