Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
\n• 36 guaranteed hours per week (48 hours available upon request)
\n• 13-week contract with bi-weekly orientation starting 1/12
\n• Three weekends required out of every six-week schedule
\n• Every other holiday rotation required
\n• Float requirement within skillset - first to float to Deaconess Newburgh campus (8 miles) and potential float to Deaconess Henderson (11 miles) with 2-hour notice
\n• Mid-shift float within same campus possible
\n• Patient ratio: Days 1:4-5, PMs 1:5-6, Nights 1:6-7
\n• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS
\n• Minimum 2 years strong Med/Surg experience and 1 travel assignment required
\n• Recent EPIC charting experience required with checkoff class
\n• Navy blue scrubs required - no hoodies, sweatshirts, or competing logos
\n• Care for cardiac patients (chest pain, stress tests, post-cath), CVA/TIA, hypotensive, syncope, SOB, post-surgical, GI/Urology procedures, AKI, cellulitis, and detox/CIWA patients
\n• Perform cardiac cath recovery, post-surgical care, NIHSS assessments, initiate/titrate drips, indwelling drain management, catheter care, NG tube insertion, and blood administration
\n• Must demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills
\n• May require precepting of students and new hires in teaching hospital environment
\n• Associate degree or certificate required
\n• Three call-ins can result in termination
