Join Our Team as a Therapeutic Community Counselor!

The Ivy Street School, a private residential special education school in Brookline, MA, is dedicated to empowering young people with disabilities (ages 13-22) through a collaborative, student-first approach. We believe every student is exceptional, and we create supportive environments that nurture their growth and independence.
What You’ll Do:
As a Therapeutic Community Counselor, you’ll be the guiding force in our students’ daily lives, bringing energy and creativity to everything you do. Your role includes:
- Providing individualized support in a safe and therapeutic learning environment.
- Engaging students in fun activities that promote skill-building and community involvement.
- Supporting students with daily living tasks and helping them tackle challenges using therapeutic frameworks (CPI, PBIS, ARC).
- Facilitating off-campus trips that enhance community skills.
- Building positive relationships with students and their families.
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for working with students with diverse learning needs and trauma histories.
- A collaborative spirit and excellent interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to learn about trauma-informed practices and therapeutic models.
- Previous experience in residential programming is a plus, but not required!
