Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An educational opportunity is available for a full-time Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to serve K-12 students in Colorado Springs, CO. This role is designed for professionals skilled in supporting the unique communication and learning needs of deaf or hard of hearing students through tailored instructional strategies.
Qualifications:
- Certification or specialized training in teaching Deaf / Hard of Hearing students
- Experience working with K-12 age groups in an educational setting
- Ability to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in sign language (preferred)
- Classroom management and adaptive teaching expertise
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado
Duration: Full semester

Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive instructional support to students with hearing impairments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including audiologists, speech therapists, and counselors to support student success
- Develop and monitor progress toward student goals using individualized plans
- Employ assistive technologies and resources to enhance learning experiences
- Communicate regularly with students' families regarding progress and resources
