We’re looking for a dynamic, strategic, and hands-on Senior Vice President of Finance to join our executive leadership team and help guide Echelon through its next phase of growth, profitability, and global expansion.
Position Overview
The SVP of Finance will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial functions, including accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), capital strategy, investor relations, risk management, and compliance. This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial direction, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving EBITDA growth through data-driven decision making and strategic discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership:
Partner with the CEO and executive team to define long-term financial goals, operational KPIs, and growth strategies across Echelon’s hardware, digital, and commercial business lines. - Financial Planning & Analysis:
Lead annual budgets, forecasting models, and multi-year financial plans, ensuring accuracy, visibility, and actionable insights for leadership and investors. - Accounting & Reporting:
Oversee accounting operations, consolidations, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP/IFRS standards; ensure timely month-end close and audit readiness. - Cash Management & Forecasting:
Manage liquidity, cash flow forecasting, and working capital optimization to support global operations and new product launches. - Capital Strategy:
Partner with external advisors, banks, and investors to support capital raises, debt facilities, and M&A initiatives. - Operational Efficiency & Cost Control:
Lead cost-savings initiatives (including DOEE—Department of Echelon Efficiency), margin improvement, and productivity optimization across departments. - Team Leadership:
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team capable of scaling with the company’s growth trajectory. - Investor & Board Relations:
Prepare and deliver financial presentations, board packages, and investor updates that articulate Echelon’s performance and future potential. - Systems & Process Improvement:
Drive automation, analytics, and system integration initiatives across ERP (NetSuite), business intelligence, and reporting platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior executive role
- Proven track record in scaling consumer product, subscription, or technology businesses
- Strong background in GAAP accounting, FP&A, capital structure management, and fundraising
- Experience leading finance functions within global or multi-entity operations
- Exceptional analytical, strategic, and communication skills
- Hands-on leadership style — able to dive deep while also thinking big
