Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the operation of our fabrication facility by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing industrial equipment and facility systems.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and production equipment
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions and restore equipment to service
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical drawings
- Install, relocate, and commission industrial machinery and equipment
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on shop equipment
- Maintain facility electrical systems and distribution equipment
- Repair or replace motors, controls, switches, wiring, and other components
- Assist with equipment upgrades and facility improvement projects
- Maintain equipment and facilities in safe operating condition
- Work independently or alongside contractors and other maintenance personnel as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industrial environments
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience repairing and maintaining industrial equipment
- Knowledge of motors, controls, electrical distribution, and mechanical systems
- Ability to diagnose problems and implement effective repairs with minimal supervision
- Strong commitment to safety and preventative maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman electrician, industrial electrician, or equivalent experience
- Experience in steel fabrication, manufacturing, welding, or heavy industrial operations
- PLC troubleshooting experience
- Overhead crane maintenance experience
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift tools, parts, and equipment components
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and access machinery
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work throughout the facility
- Ability to work safely around moving equipment, welding operations, and overhead cranes
