- Contract Length: 13 weeks (June 8, 2026 – September 7, 2026)\n
- Shift: Nights; 4 x 12-hour shifts per week (48 hrs/week), every other weekend, no call\n
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,980 – $2,080 (competitive travel nurse pay)\n
- Start Date: June 8, 2026\n
- Float: Traveler float required across multiple campuses within the health system\n
- EMR: EPIC (electronic medical record experience preferred)\n

\n\nRequired Qualifications\n
- \n
- Active Iowa RN license or Compact/Multistate RN license (Registered Nurse)\n
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS certification\n
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience (within the last 24 months)\n
- Experience caring for pulmonary/ventilated patients, BiPAP, and tracheostomy care highly preferred\n
- Charge nurse experience required (leadership/charge RN skills)\n
- Level I trauma experience highly preferred\n
- Professional reference from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO within the past 24 months preferred\n
- Valid Driver’s License\n
- Completed Med/Surg skills checklist specific to the unit\n
\n\nKey Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on a busy Med/Surg unit with a pulmonary focus\n
- Manage care for patients requiring heparin drips, BiPAP, trach care, and ventilator support\n
- Float across multiple campuses as needed to support patient care and staffing needs\n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, PT/OT, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
- Function as charge nurse when assigned, providing leadership, delegation, and support to team members\n
- Document accurate, timely patient care using EPIC electronic medical record\n
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, infection control, and patient safety standards\n
