Job Description

Role Type: Advisory / Semi-Retired / Retired Location: Remote (Colorado Based) Works with: Owner / Executive Lead

Role Overview

We are a state-leading residential home services firm (Electrical & Comprehensive Home Efficiency) looking for a seasoned Colorado-Licensed Master Plumber to serve as our Master Plumber of Record. We are deeply familiar with DORA and licensure requirements, as we currently hold and manage state-level electrical qualifications.

This role is designed for a professional seeking a low-impact, advisory-style engagement. You will provide the technical foundation and licensure required for municipal permitting and state compliance as we expand our plumbing division, with a specific focus on high-efficiency water heating systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Licensure: Serve as the Master Plumber of Record.
  • Technical Guidance: Act as a high-level technical resource for our on-staff Journeyman plumbers who manage all field execution and daily operations.

Insurance & Liability Protection

We understand the importance of protecting your professional standing. To ensure full peace of mind for our Master of Record, the company maintains high-tier coverage including:

  • General Liability: $1,000,000
  • Workers Compensation: $1,000,000
  • Umbrella Policy: $1,000,000 (additional layer of protection)
  • Professional Liability: Full coverage included for advisory activities.

Role Dynamics

  • Remote-First: Most coordination can be handled remotely or through scheduled, infrequent check-ins.
  • Low Physical Demand: This is not a field-based role. Our field leadership handles all logistical and personnel duties.
  • Discretion: We are looking for a reliable, professional partner who values a steady, low-friction relationship.

Requirements

  • Active Colorado Master Plumber License: Must be in good standing with DORA.
  • Experience: Extensive background in residential systems and local municipal code requirements.
  • Reliability: A commitment to maintaining licensure and responding to compliance-related inquiries in a timely manner.

Work Environment & Compensation

  • Schedule: Extremely flexible; effectively "on-call" for administrative and advisory needs.
  • Commitment: Minimal hours required per month, if at all.
  • Compensation: Monthly licensure retainer $800/month with $5,400 annual retention package ($15,000 total annually).
