Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Psychotherapist in Private Practice. The Psychotherapist will be responsible for providing individual and relationship counseling, conducting psychological assessments, and developing personalized therapy plans. The role will involve regular consultations with clients, tracking their progress, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Additionally, the Psychotherapist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Qualifications
Required
- Active, unrestricted NJ license: LSW, LMHC, MHC.
- Strong competency in at least one: EFT, IFS/parts work, CBT, Gottman; willingness to deepen across modalities.
- Excellent written documentation and clinical formulation skills.
- Reliable, private clinical workspace suitable for telehealth (camera on; professional background; strong internet).
- Commitment to equity, belonging, and culturally responsive care.
- Comfortable with an initial ramp period while caseload builds; able to hold consistent availability during ramp (typically 4–8 weeks).
Nice‑to‑Have
- Multistate licensure (NY & NJ)
- Specialized trainings/certifications (EFT externship/core skills, Gottman L1‑2, EMDR, perinatal mental health, men’s issues, sexual health)
- Experience with high‑achieving/leadership clients; performance psychology; relationship/couples intensives
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and couples therapy (45‑ or 55‑minute sessions) via secure telehealth.
- Use evidence‑based approaches (e.g., EFT, IFS, CBT, Gottman) and create collaborative treatment plans with measurable goals.
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation (SOAP or equivalent) within 48 hours; complete risk assessments and safety plans when indicated.
- Participate in weekly/bi‑weekly supervision and peer consultation; seek ad‑hoc consults for high‑risk or complex cases.
- Communicate promptly and professionally with clients and teammates (async‑first; escalate urgent items per protocol).
- Uphold HIPAA, licensure rules, and Elevate policies (boundaries, confidentiality, telehealth etiquette, cancellations, fees).
- Contribute to clinical quality initiatives (case conference, literature spotlights, micro‑CEs) and share learnings.
- Support a smooth client experience across the lifecycle (intake, ongoing care, planned discharge, referrals when needs change).
Schedule & Caseload
- Remote/telehealth full time/part time with at least two evenings (or weekend availability) consistently each week.
- Willingness to open reliable recurring slots for 6–8 weeks out at a time so we can route referrals effectively. Must keep these times consistent for client care.
- Target caseload: 20–30 weekly sessions once ramped (flexible based on fit and goals).
- Protected admin/documentation time recommended.

- Steady stream of referrals; marketing presence; in‑network panels (Aetna, BCBS).
- Weekly/bi‑weekly supervision and peer consults; monthly case conference.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive compensation with steady referrals $50-$75/hr (details shared in interview based on license, experience, and schedule).
