Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time paraprofessional position is available for the 2025/2026 school year, based in Newport, NH, supporting a high school student with autism. This role requires experience working in schools, particularly with students who benefit from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, including discrete trial training and behavior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a high school student on the autism spectrum.
- Implement ABA strategies and discrete trials to facilitate learning and positive behaviors.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and school staff to support the individuals educational goals.
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist with classroom activities and help create a supportive educational environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working as a paraprofessional in a school setting is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of ABA, discrete trial methods, and behavioral interventions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a school environment.
- Flexibility to work full-time hours, approximately 32.5-35 hours per week.
Location and Schedule:
- Position located in Newport, New Hampshire.
- Full-time contract from ASAP through June 2026.
