Power Generation SCADA / PLC Specialists
Position Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Power Generation SCADA / PLC Specialist to support the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services of electrical power generation systems across the INDOPACOM–Marshall Islands region (USAG-KA: Kwajalein and Roi-Namur) in support of LOGCAP V. The specialist will oversee SCADA system functionality, ensure continuous power system reliability, and support client-based automation processes such as water treatment, wastewater, and incineration facilities. This role requires a hands-on expert with a deep understanding of SCADA architecture, industrial controls, and communication protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the SCADA specialist for power generation and client automation systems.

Monitor and maintain SCADA and PLC systems, including servers, HMI interfaces, and network configurations.

Respond to power system faults, troubleshoot, and execute corrective actions to restore operations.

Provide hands-on maintenance of synchronizing/paralleling systems, generators, and low/high-voltage equipment.

Implement and document upgrades, patches, and performance evaluations.

Lead or support daily safety briefings, documentation, training programs, and EHS protocols.

Represent the organization in client meetings and serve as acting Utilities Manager when needed.

Manage SCADA documentation, licenses, system security, and backups.

Coordinate with military, prime contractor, and multinational staff to ensure operational compliance and standards.

Day travel between local islands providing support where needed within scope of responsibility
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 5 years' experience with SCADA and PLC systems.

OEM master-level qualification (Allan Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent).

Proven experience with Rockwell ControlLogix, Modbus, RS-232/485, TCP/IP.

Valid driver's license and passport (minimum 12-month validity).

Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Must meet USARPAC Force Health Protection medical and security requirements.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

CAC eligible and able to access US military installations.

Physically able to perform fieldwork in challenging environments.
Preferred Skills:
-
Experience with Woodward controllers (DEC250, DLSC-2), SCADA Historian packages.

Strong understanding of DCS, VFDs, UPS, and power quality monitoring.

Formal training in First Aid/CPR; electrical safety; OSHA/NFPA70E compliance.

Experience with MV/LV installation, synchronization, and load management.

Ability to lead teams of 20+ personnel and deliver detailed status updates to leadership.

Demonstrated ability to work with international teams and military partners.

Willingness to attend OEM-specific training and serve as Competent or Authorized Person.

Skilled in reading technical manuals, schematics, and systems diagrams.

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Compensation: $115,000 - $124,000
