Chaminade College Preparatory is seeking an Events Coordinator. The position is responsible for planning, set-up and coordination of all events held at the West Hills High School Campus.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the coordination of the Physical Plant staff supporting events.
- Receive, prioritize, and track Facility Use Requests as received from the on-line system.
- Maintains one-week and three-month boards, and Facilities Use Request logbook.
- Coordinates with requestor as to specific requirements of each event, working directly with that person to ensure successful outcome.
- Responsible for the setup and operation of the required sound systems during the event.
- Responsible for inventory, maintenance, and replacement of sound equipment.
- Responsible for on and off-campus parking during events.
- Responsible for leasing and coordination of buses for campus activities other than athletics.
- Responsible for coordination of janitorial staff supporting events.
- Inventory and purchasing of janitorial supplies.
- Inventory and purchasing of copy paper supplies.
- Coordination of security officers for special events.
- Responsible for inventory, maintenance, and distribution of classroom furniture and equipment.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, able to prioritize and direct the Physical Plant staff.
- Performs related duties as required.
Skills and Knowledge Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Three (3) years experience in event coordination, including one (1) years of experience in a maintenance position preferred.
License Required
- Must have a valid unrestricted California
Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time, 12 month per year, hourly position. The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience. The expected salary range for the position is $ 19.12 to $22.00 per hour.
