Manufacturing Operations Manager

Job Description

Dizario Search is currently supporting a search for an Operations Manager based in Delaware County, Ohio. This role is with a leading manufacturer in the consumer goods industry and will serve as a key leader in plant operations. The Operations Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence by leading manufacturing teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring safety, quality, service, and cost targets are consistently achieved.

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to manufacturing operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
• Champion a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all safety management systems
• Oversee production to deliver high-quality, cost-effective products on schedule
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, service, and cost
• Develop and coach employees through training, feedback, and career growth opportunities
• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration to optimize efficiency and performance
• Implement Lean Manufacturing tools and principles to achieve measurable improvements
• Monitor and maintain performance metrics and accountability systems
• Lead cost reduction, performance improvement, logistics, and quality initiatives
• Select, retain, and develop diverse, highly qualified team members across all levels

Operations Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations with proven P&L responsibility
• Demonstrated success leading both salaried and hourly teams
• Strong track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving measurable business results
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification
