We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) Lab team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute cardiac care and experience assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures. This role involves providing patient-centered care throughout the peri-procedural process, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-procedure assessments and patient preparation for cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and cardiac status during procedures and recovery.
- Assist physicians and the Cath Lab team with diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Administer medications and contrast agents as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control standards.
- Provide patient education regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and post-procedure care.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with cardiac care teams to coordinate patient care.
Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – State Licensed
- LA City Fire Card
- BLS (required)
- ACLS (required)
Charting: Required, Epic
Years of Experience: 1 year(s) Cath Lab experience required
Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:30)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $70.99 per hour
