We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Non-Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role involves preparing high-quality compounded medications in a safe and compliant environment, working closely with pharmacists to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
Responsibilities:
- Compound non-sterile medications such as capsules, creams, ointments, and suspensions
- Measure, weigh, and mix pharmaceutical ingredients following precise formulas
- Prepare and label prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Maintain clean and organized compounding areas in compliance with USP <795> guidelines
- Document batch records, logs, and prescription data accurately
- Assist in managing inventory of raw materials and supplies
- Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure efficient workflow and excellent service
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- 1+ years of experience in non-sterile compounding strongly preferred
- Familiarity with USP <795> regulations and compounding techniques
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and cleanliness
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable working with specialized equipment such as balances, ointment mills, and capsule machines
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain thorough documentation
